Andrew Zomick, DC has received post doctoral training through Buffalo School of Medicine in Motor Vehicle Collision, Occupant Injury, Whiplash Biomechanical, Brain Injury Trauma, MRI Interpretation, Spinal Biomechanical Engineering, Spinal Trauma, Electro-Diagnostics, and AMA Impairment ratings 5th and 6th Edition.
Dr. Zomick graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University Of Bridgeport College Of Chiropractic and received his Bachelors of Biological Sciences from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Using clinical excellence and a warm rapport with patients, he has developed Stamford Sports & Spine in Stamford, CT into one of the region’s leading providers of chiropractic care. Dr. Z integrates core strengthening, conditioning, and various chiropractic and musculoskeletal release techniques into his patient-based approach.
David C. Avallon, D.C.
David Avallon, DC received his Bachelors of Science degree from the University of New Hampshire where he concentrated in Kinesiology Exercise Science and received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic (UBCC). He has been fortunate enough to work with a vast array of patients, from veterans at the VA inWest Haven, to professional athletes. In his final year at UBCC, Dr. Dave was selected to participate in an MRI rotation at Stony Brook Hospital under one of the most recognized neuroradiologists in the health field. Here, he gained experience reading MRIs and was exposed to complicated cases frequently seen in a hospital setting.
Dr. Dave is certified in Functional Taping for Musculoskeletal Injuries (FTMI) and is also certified in Advanced Human Performance Testing using gait analysis software. He has training in a vast array of treatment options including Graston/Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Technique, Flexion-Distraction, Gonstead and Diversified methods of spinal manipulative therapies.
Kerri Stasiak, N.D.
By actively listening with a caring heart and approaching each case with an open mind, Dr. Kerri Stasiak, N.D., collaborates with her patients to determine the underlying cause of their condition.
Dr. Stasiak’s uses acupuncture to address everything from musculoskeletal complaints to digestive and endocrine issues. Regardless of the specific complaint, Dr. Stasiak combines the most case-appropriate latest advances in chinese medicine and acupuncture coupled with tui na (chinese massage) protocols.
Dr. Stasiak has studied with and learned from many distinguished physicians including Dr. Marvin Schweitzer, N.D., Dr. Eugene Zampieron, N.D., Dr. Peter D’Adamo, N.D., and Dr. Patrick Fratellone, M.D. She continues to expand her knowledge and insight by attending industry conferences and staying active in the Connecticut Naturopathic Physicians Association, New York Association of Naturopathic Physicians, as well as the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Coming from a family with a strong medical background, Dr. Stasiak knew she wanted to go into medicine from an early age. In high school, Dr. Stasiak enrolled in a career development and leadership group where she worked alongside Williamsville, NY retina specialist Dr. Joseph A. Murphy, M.D. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Gannon University on an accelerated-track program affiliated with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Attending the Reconnective Healing seminar by Dr. Eric Pearl, D.C., sparked Dr. Stasiak’s interest in and love of energy healing. She quickly realized the profound effects holistic therapies can have on an individual, emphasizing the importance of natural medicine and working on the mind, body, and soul. Soon after, she began following her true inner calling and became a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, graduating summa cum laude from the University of Bridgeport.
Rochelle Schaeffer, LAc, LMT
Rochelle has been treating patients for over 25 years, providing quality and compassionate care with massage and acupuncture. Years of experience and continuing studies has enabled her to achieve positive healing results.
Trained both in TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) and Japanese style acupuncture, she might incorporate, electric-stimulation, cupping, herbal lineaments, medical massage, gua sha, infared heat, and other modalities. Upon graduating from massage school she did additional training to become a certified AMMA therapist, which led her to learning acupuncture. AMMA is based upon the same principles as acupuncture, but without needles. Additionally Rochelle has become certified in acupuncture for Orthopedics pain management, auricular (ear), infertility, facial rejuvenation, and continues learning.
She graduated from New York College for Wholistic Health, Education, & Research with a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Health Sciences, and a Master’s of Science in Oriental Medicine. Upon graduating Rochelle travelled to China to do extensive clinical training abroad at Guangzhou TCM University in Guangzhou, China. Assisting and learning from doctors of Chinese medicine who were masters, treating numerous medical conditions. Additionally she studied with the renowned teacher Jeffrey Yuen for a year of Chinese Herbal Medicine which began her studies in herbal medicine. Rochelle has worked with medical doctors in the past and present complimenting Western medicine with Eastern medicine.
